Long Slack Farm, Menwith Hill, Harrogate, North Yorkshire. HG3 2RL
We have farmed at Long Slack Farm since 1997. Here we run an all grass system raising beef cattle, sheep, pigs and a flock of free range hens.
The cattle all live on the pasture during the summer months to produce calm contented stock which ultimately is reflected in the quality of the beef we produce.
Our sheep graze all year on the rich pasture coming indoors only at lambing time, we dont rush the animals allowing them to develop naturally at their own pace.

We keep the pigs in a high welfare way living inside in big straw yards in small groups. This system allows the pigs to 'root' in the straw and makes a natural environment for them. The life the pigs lead is reflected in the fantastic eating quality of our Pork.jpg)

Free range hens provide us with the eggs for the shop. The hens are free to roam the field living a happy life which gives us eggs with real golden yolks and a great taste.
